Message Welcome to the club. You are going to get a lot of advice here - mostly good, some bad....so here are my thoughts ....

First, baseline the car (change all the fluids, plugs, etc) so you know where you are starting from. Drive it around, enjoy it.

Next start on the major maintenance items and start thinking about what you want out of the car long term. Is it a garage queen or a DD? A street car with some limited track time? Full out track car? Drag car / straight line racer? Drifter (cough)?

Answers to that list of questions will tell you whether you want to start spending money on horsepower or handling or the stereo system and interior or all of the above. This site is full of DIY articles on all of the above.

If you are looking for HP, the most economical swap is clearly to sell the NA and buy a factory TT, but recognize that even a factory TT may need significant baselining and maintenance simply due to age/time. (I know and say this even though I own three non-factory swaps).

If you love the 2 plus 2 and can't live without it, and the body and paint are in excellent condition, then consider doing the TT swap. Some people here will tell you that you can do the swap for a few thousand (and I guess you "can" if you avoid logical upgrades and maintenance and re-use a bunch of 25 year old parts) but if you plan to use all the latest and greatest aftermarket turbos and breather mods and do things like change out the 25 year old harness, then budget for more like 10 thousand (give or take).

Are there "non-financial advantages" of doing the swap? Sure. Upon successful completion, you will be pretty intimately familiar with many of the Zs critical systems, and you will likely have assembled a decent set of tools and maybe even made some new friends.

I hope this helps...have fun with it!
